  1. i agree wiyh britchick, i thought you had to have at least 6 mnth on your passport. i think it would be in your best interest to phone the passport place up and check for certain with them?

  2. Yes. Spain is in the EU. It's not exactly a foreign country is it.

  3. OFFICIALLY ITS SHOULD BE 6 MONTHS,BUT I DONT KNOW OF ANYONE THATS BEEN REFUSED TO TRAVEL UNDER 6 MONTHS LEFT ON THE PASSPORT ,AS LONG ITS STILL VALID ON YOUR RETURN JOURNEY.

  4. Also depends on airline carrier, some like Easyjet, require that there is at least FOUR months remaining on your passport, before letting you board the plane.

  5. no, i had a friend who had to his renewed before he went to amsterdam because it only had 4 months on it, it has to be six months

  6. some places state that there has to be 6 months left to run, but i thought that was usually long haul flights such as canada, cuba etc , where as i was under the impression that as we are part of europe so long as the passport lasts beyond the date of your return flight that it is ok.

you should be able to find out at passport.gov.uk

If all eles fails you can ring you'r nearest regional office to make an appointment, it costs extra but your guaranteed it the same day.

Good luck and have a nice time.

  7. No- it has to be six months- they will most probably send you home. It matters not that we are in the EU- you still have to show a passport with more than six months on.

  8. I can't imagine why not.  As long as your passport is valid, there is no reason you can't go to Europe... or anywhere else that is permitted

  9. I used to work in the airport for IBERIA and as far as I know, we never had to look for the time left in the passport, providing that for the flyght in and the return it has not expired.

In Spain we can use the ID as well as passport, but you don't have one if you are English. Buen viaje!!!

  10. They do like you to have 6 months left, you may get through the checkpoints in the UK, but when you land here in Spain, you may have problems, should have checked it well before now

  11. No if its anything at all less than 3 months no, you need a new passport, and the remaining 3 is added to your new one, so you dont loose out on it.

  12. yes course you can, until it runs out.

  13. The official line is 6 months left but dgenerally for eu they ask 3 months call your airline as the embassy will now be closed for the weekend, cant see it being a problem but would check to make sure

  14. Yes you can leave the country and enter another but you are advised by the passport office that you require 3 full months minimum on the date of return to enter back into the UK. Which ever country you are returning from.
