Can i go swimming when i have my period?

you see, my aunt invited me and my sis over for a sleep over and she has a huge pool and a slide and all this cool stuff and i never get to go to her house. but i have i have my period rite now. My mom dosent want me wearing tampons yet. what do i do so nothing will leak?!? HELP????!!!!

yes, ofcourse dear... i joined swimming last month and on d 2nd day of my lessons i was on my periods. i wore a tampoon and it was fine... Tampax pearl or platax sport are nice ones among many... evn i was new to them, but its comfortable... and u can SWIM...njoy ur evening wid cousins

ask again to wear a tampon but if your mom still says no then you can use a thin panty liner that doesn't really absorb and then change it as soon as your done swimming

Maybe you could have your aunt speak to your mother about the rules that she has for her pool. On the bright side, at least it's family. It could be much worse and embarrassing if you would have an accident in a public pool.

Yeah you can, just wear a tampon and you'll be fine.

There's a first time for everything. I suggest wearing a tampon anyway. You dont want to risk people seeing your pad stick out of your bikini bottom.
