  1. You would be immediately approved for Medicaid.  Should be a local office where you can go to enroll.

  2. It depends on what state and if your employer provides health insurance.  You need to first check with human resources at your work.

  3. It does depend on your household income! for the state insurance.. so hopefully no one makes a lot of money...

an alternative if they can't cover you for any reason... please consider AmeriPlan USA.

For only $40 a month your entire household is covered!! ( so you could split the cost between your fiance, future mother in law and your future brother in law.. and everyone can take advantage of the benefits.

they accept pregnancy!! This isn't insurance, but it's a discount medical program that gives huge discounts for all health services..

    for example...

Dental 50-80% off all services (even braces)

    Vision 10-60% off Lasik included!

Prescription Drugs 25-50% off  Name Brand and Generics

Chiropractor one free visit and 30-50% off thereafter!

Hospitalization any hospital of your choice for the birth if you bill goes over $2500 there is an advocate assigned to your case who works with the hospital to get your bills lowered as much as possible! (usually over 50%!).

doctors, specialists’, lab work, blood tests all discounted as much as 70%

I know the state would be the best option for you... honestly it is!! but if they won't cover you.. (it also takes about a month or 2 to get on the state coverage!) you could consider this type of coverage in the meantime!

I sure hope this helps you..  check out the website.. and click on Total Health.. that would be the best option for your situation.. and see if you are interested.. If you want to use this so you can save money while you are applying for state aid just let me know..and then when they accept you.. we could cancel the Ameriplan coverage..

if you don't have any long distance, fill out the on-line info and i'll call you later today if you want!

  4. You can apply, but it's HOUSEHOLD INCOME that counts.

You go to your state medicaid website, and apply.  They would also be able to tell you the address of the office nearest you - some states require you to go in person.
