Can i go to a good high school ?? ?

Well i'm starting school on the september 4th, and i will be going into 8th grade. But last year my grades were okay(Like about one A, 3 or 4 B's, and one C). During the summer, i've been thinking about my future and all. And now i wanna go to a good high school, but my teacher said that to apply to a good high school they will look at my 7th grade's report card and see if i'm good enough to go into a good high school. But my grades are just an average grade, but now i'll try get only A's & B's in 8th grade.

So my question is, is there a good chance that i can go into a good high school ??

Plus well they look at your PSSA test score for when you apply into a high school ??

Sorry, but you might have to work a little harder to get into a good school. Yes, it's true they look at your 7th grade report card, but by transcripts, not the card itself. Mine had half 3 A's and 3 B's, with 1 C, but only got accepted to one good school here in Chicago where I live. I'm a sophomore right now. Schools just don't look at your grades but also state test scores and maybe entrance exams to the good schools. I messes up on my exam, and got accepted to no "selective" schools. Best of luck and try real hard in 8th grade and hope you get to the school you want to go to.

I didn't do so well in 6th or 7th grade, but in 8th grade, I somehow got really nice grades and ended up getting a scholarship to the high school I go to now. So don't worry- those grades are fine. But, what high schools really love, are extra curricular. I did A LOT of those.

THEY DO NOT LOOK AT YOUR GRADE SEVEN REPORT CARD! There is always a BIG talk for Middle School Students before they enter High School, but the truth is if you have good study/work habit, you are bound to get good grades, which means you'll get into almost any High School, unless it is at it's max limit. YOU JUST HAVE TO PUT IN EFFORT. Hoped I helped ;)

I don't know what you mean by a 'good' high school. Do you mean a private school? If that's what you mean, then yes, they will look at your grades before they let you in. But, a public school can be good too. It depends on how you take advantage of the hings available. My son goes to a public high school that is not considered to be good. he has to go there because it is in our area and we can't afford private. He is taking all honors classes so that when he is ready to go to college they will look at that instead of what high school he went to.
