  1. of course but I think you must be aware that usually medical and laws cannot be used outside the country itself. That's what I heard. So for example, if you study in the U.S., you can only work in the U.S and if you want to become a doctor in the UK, you must either study again from the start or take some examination for qualifications. In canada, I heard that even teachers have to study from the start again to be qualified to teach in univ, schools, etc :)

  2. Sure.  Lots of universities love accepting students from abroad.  Go to any university's website and look for a section on international applicants.

  3. Yes it is possible, however Medical Schools in the United States are graduate schools, meaning that you require a Bachelors Degree or equivilent to be considered for admission.

The majority of medical students are what we call pre-med students and that track is often concentrated studies in biology, chemistry and/or physics to meet the pre-med requirements.

Pre-medical students may be advised or required to take upper level biology and chemistry electives, such as cellular biology, physical chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, etc. Specific requirements for these courses vary by institution and so it is always advisable to contact the medical school you wish to attend for the courses which they require and make sure that they will transfer to there from your undergrad school.

You will also need to take the MCAT, this is the required standardized exam that medical schools use to identify qualified candidates.

  4. You can learn more about university life in the US by reading this online guide for international students: http://www.universitylanguage.com/

    Good luck!
