Can i go to canada without my passport if i was driving?

we are planning to drive to canada on 4th of july. but i lost my passport and boyfriend never had one. i was wondering if you can drive to canada with a driver license and a birth certificate. and if not how long does it take to rush order the passport.

It is safer if you do, but you don't have to. If you dont you HAVE to bring your drivers lisence, and your birth certificate. Be Safe! Have fun in Canada!
