Can i go to chile with one way ticket?

me as a u.s citizen with a chilean visa for one year i recently traveled to the u.s with one way ticket can i do the same going back to chile having the chilean visa will there be any problems at the airport

Yes they will make you buy your ticket back to USA.

There is a technical requirement that you have to show proof of onward travel.  But this is not always enforced.  Even if they do ask often they are happy if you show proof of sufficient funds to buy a ticket and do not actually make you buy the ticket.  If you are unlucky and get a cranky officer the worst that can happen is that they make you buy a ticket, just be sure to get a fully refundable one.
