Can i go to german from india with visa applied in switzerland?

i am an indian.i have the d-type visa for germany.But i had applied this visa from german embassy in switzerland.Will it be valid if i will go to germany from india not from switzerland?

  1. usually if you apply for a visa for any country, it must be applied from your country of origin,but if you received one from the German gov. and it is given to you ?

    i am not clear on how you obtained your visa from Swizerland ? were you a tourist in Switzerland ? with a visa tourist visa for Switzerland ?

    how long is your visa good for ? please come back and explain a bit better .(if you wish )
