Can i go to jail if???

i dont answer any of there questions and there are no formal charges yet?

  1. No!  you  tell  them  you're  not  answering  any  questions  without  your  lawyer then  they  have  to  release  you  if  you  haven't  been  charged  with  a  crime.  If  I  were  you  I  would  get  a  lawyer  ASAP

  3. Yup. If you remain quiet and are able to say something that will prove your innocence but don't....then you will 100% be going to jail. Most of the time, the people that don't say anything are the ones that are guilty.....it's all up to you though.

  6. If they believe you are hiding something, the police can detain you for up to 24-48 hours without any charges.  So, yes you could go to jail if they needed you for some sort of questioning

  7. No you can only go to jail once you are arrested. It seems like they only brought you in for questioning, and you DONT have to answer any questions. If they arrest you I suggest you get a lawyer before you start talking.
