  1. it6d be better to hand feed them, then when they're done eating put the food in there dish so they have food all night if thwy need more

  2. you can but I wouldn't suggest it

  3. Yes that way they get used to your hand being around them but don't let them get use to only eating from your hand because then you have a problem.

  4. what i would do is put the food in a bowl in the cage and on your 2nd day of having your hamster try to feed it a treat i.e a chocalete drop or something dont jump if it gets too close to ur hand and u feel it may bite as u will scare it. u can also put ur hand palm up flat on the floor on the cage sit pasiantly and wait for ur hamster to step on ur hand and let him/her get used to that b4 picking it up just so it can get used to u as it may get scared and jump. but yes hand feeding is good its a great way to get it to trust u.

  5. 2 get it use 2 u just put ur hand in its cage and giv it a treat, then as it gets use 2 u feeding it treats pick him up and giv it sum treats(if it wnt eat them out of ur hand just try l8r r put it in his cage,if u gradually do this he'll learn that u mean no harm 2 him and will eat it out of ur hand)hope i hlpd GOOD LUCK!!! :)))

  6. of course you can hand feed. it teaches them that a hand is ok

  7. umm i hand feed my guinea pig sometimes. i guess it be okay but hamsters bite so i'd be careful.
