My friend has to cable modems and he has no problem with using internet. I would like to know how you do it. If you use two modems , wont the second modem reject the ip address since it is already being used? Or do i have to call customer service so they can configure something in my house....please tell me plzzzz

  1. If you have 2 accounts, you could have 2 cable modems. Each modem would have a separate IP address

You cannot have 2 cable modems and one account, because you only get 1 IP address per account

  2. correct, if you are only paying for 1 IP address the second one wont work without calling your cable company.
