Can i have a Coke ?

Question

I have braces on. The orthodontist told me no soda. But my patience is running low. I have been in the Ears nose and throat doctor since 9:00am but it is now going on 11am. The doctor is in emergency surgery. I see my ortho this afternoon because i am in severe pain with my braces. I really want to run down to the gift shop and get a soda...What is the harm of just 1 soda? Is it okay to have? Thank you for your opinions :)

Thw reason you were told not to have soda is because of the sugar and acid in it that can cause tooth decay/damage.  Having braces one only makes it that much harder to keep you teeth clean.

You can have a soda on occasion but be sure to brush and floss well everyday, especially when in braces!

lol ive had braces for 2 years and have coke everyday

ahaaa also like i got proper worried because i thought i would have stains

and i got a cleaning at the dentist today and like the parts ou can see are all white again

just brush a lot

Haha.

Trust me, after a month of braces, you're just going to be like " Ah, s***w it! ".

And do things you're not supposed to, like chew gum.

Having braces isn't as bad as you think it is dear [:

i agree with first answer drink with a straw and brush yur teeth gently so it doesnt hurt and then rinse with listerene of w/e haha

Just drink it through a straw so it passes by your teeth.

And brush your teeth a lot.

You can have soda. Its better to have none but every now and then shouldnt do any harm. Drink it through a straw so that it passes by your teeth. Less likely to do damage.

And make sure to brush your teeth well after :)
