i would be pleased to answer this as i am a student studying in bangalore since 3 years and i just visited mysore last month.

the weather in bangalore is not very cold.so carry light and comfortable clothes.no woolens required.carry an umbrella as it rains here anytime.get any ordinary pair of footwear.no special shoes required.get your sunglasses.get some food packets although food is easily available here.

SIGHT-SEEING SPOTS:-

BANGALORE:-

IN bangalore there is good bus transport.there is a central bus stand near the station called MAJESTIC OR kempegowda bus stand(KBS).HERE there are various platforms from where u get buses to every part of the city.

1)VIDHAN SOUDHA AND CUBBON PARK:-this is 3km from the bus stand.vidhan soudha is the city parlimentary house.opposite to it there is cubbon park which has a library and mueseum.

2)LALBAGH-5 KM from KBS.its a beautiful botanical garden.buses from platform 8 and 9 go there.

3)ISCKON TEMPLE-situated in mahalaxmi layout-rajajinagar.take bus no 80 from platform 7.

4)BANNERGHATTA NATIONAL PARK-the best place to see animals in their wildlife.they also have safaris.take bus no 356 from platform 15.

5)MG ROAD AND BRIGADE ROAD-you can do your shopping here.there are malls and many other outlets to visit.take bus 333/335 from platform 17.

6)WONDERLA-an amusement *** water park.29 km from KBS.a must go.u will get direct buses from kbs.

7)CHURCH IN SHIVAJINAGAR

8)JAWAHARLAL NEHRU SCIENCE CENTRE-its near cubbon park.

MYSORE:-

mysore also has a city bus stand from where u have access to all spots.

1)mysore zoo-the best zoo in our country..spread over many acres of land.u will need one entire day to see it.

2)mysore palace

3)brindaban garden-a beautiful garden with a musical fountain show which starts at 7pm daily.so visit this place at 6pm.

4)chamundi hills-gives u a view of the entire city.also has chamundeswari temple.

5)srirangapatnam temple

6)natural historical mueseum

7)ST JOSEPHS CATHEDRAL-a famous and beautiful church.

8)silk and handicrafts emporium.

while in Mysore use city bus.Best would be to hire a taxi,you can cover most of the things to see.

I go to Mysore every week end.
