I am moving house but want to put this in my new garden.

I am hoping that it will house my two noisy teenagers.

I know that you can build little annexes

Thanks at the bottom of your garden as long as they are under a certain height

  1. I have. Best decision i ever made with regard to my teenage son. However i am in Ireland and i believe that in England,or parts of it that there may be bylaws in which temporary dwellings ie caravans can only be occupied 11 months of the year so i would check with your local council.

  2. My planning knowledge covers England and Wales (Scottish regulations can be different) where you can site a static caravan in your garden. The only condition is that it is used "ancilliary to the main dwelling". This simply means that whoever occupies it must be part of the resident household and not a tenant. Once you use it as a seperate, independent unit of accommodation then planning permission would be required.

  3. Yes you can, i know three people with statics in there garden.
