Can i have come barrel racing tips???

I dont know what exactly you need tips on, but here are a few random ones. If you can get in touch with me, I can help you out some more.

1. Maintain correct saddle position

2. Never look at the barrel

3. Always barrel race two-handed, unless you know how to slide your hands for the turn correctly which I can explain in more detail later.

4. If you have the opportunity, walk into the ring on foot when the barrels are up and walk out your pocket space on at least your first barrel.

5. Never shoulder barrels.

6. Never let your horse turn before you tell him to. This will result (eventually) in your horse turning incorrectly, or even right into the barrel! This is quite a problem to solve sometimes, so don't let it becoe a habit!

7. Sit up straight- don't lean into the barrels.

8. If you can't run a clean, nice pattern, slow lope it. If you can't slow lope it, trot it. If you can't trot it, walk it. There's NEVER anything wrong with starting out S L O W. You look better going out there and walking a perfect pattern than you would gunning it through there and takin a trip around the world everytime you got to a barrel.
