Can i have herpes? please help....?

Hi...i did blood tesr for HSV1 and HSV2. both came in negetive range. they range of HSV-2 below 0.90 is for negetive and between 0.90 to 1.1 is for positive. i got 0.69 (means negetive) but they also wrote in comments field (it indicates to past infection) what does it means ....can i have herpes?

  1. anybody can have herpes- you only no for definate when you have a "show" if you havent had a "show" then nobody can be sure as you need to have a swab of the sore.


  2. I would give your doctor a call and ask if they can explain your test results to you further. Just let them know that you have more questions.

    Not everybody with herpes has signs or symptoms. Also, if you have antibodies then that means you have it. So just make sure you ask about these things.  

  3. As far as I know, a negative test for HSV is a negative test for HSV.  

    I don't know what their comments mean - you would need to ask them.
