  1. If you're a really big meat-eater, honestly, I advise you to slowly wean yourself off meat (and eggs/dairy if you're looking to get rid of that as well).

Here's the step by step process I used. It's also useful to keep in mind the suffering that goes into every plate of meat you eat... it's just a little bit of encouragement. Move through the steps as quickly or slowly as you're comfortable doing.

    1) Give up the meat you like least. For me, I didn't really like red meat. I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite. It's okay at this point to supplement other meats for it.

    2) Give up the meat you like MOST. For me, it was poultry. At this point, you need to start replacing meat with beans and vegetables, and maybe some of the meat that was in the middle (for me it was fish).

    3) This is the hardest step. Take the plunge and get rid of ALL meat and eat more beans. Here is where I ate -tons- of fake meats, and I just slowly stopped eating those.

    4) If you wish to go further, I suggest giving up eggs/dairy when they are the main food, but continue eating it when it's IN something (cakes, etc.).

    5) Get rid of -all- animal products. Congrats, here's where your food is mainly cruelty-free!

Just keep your goal in your mind, and every time you're confronted with a choice, take the option that leads to your goal. For example, if you could have a veggie stir fry or chicken, pick the veggies.

I wish you the best of luck! :)

  2. Going Vegetarian is much better for your health.  You'll have more energy, and feel better.  Not to mention you'll be saving the enviroment, and animals.

As for eating meat, go buy Boca Burgers, or other meat free burgers.  They taste great, whenever you're craving meat, just eat a boca burger, or fake hotdogs.  There is also a brand out there that I saw that now offers fake chicken b*****s, which were amazing.

  3. Go to the website   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIjanhKqV... and watch. There is plently more where that comes from. Also you will lose weight and feel better, make sure to get proper nutrition, buy GO VEGETARIAN or some other book or look up a website on it.

  4. first off you have got to change your mindset and constantly visualize WHY you want to become a vegetarian of course people who start somehting new are going to say no i cant do this just because we got used to a certain pattern so when you try to break your normal pattern your going to feel off in the beginning until you get used to it then you start to relaxe more and become more upbeat and realize you can do it you just gotta stay commited and strong no matter what others say or think of you and realize your doing it for a good reason look at this tidbit of info:

    * atleast 4.8 acres of agricultural land is needed to maintain an american family of 4 on mainstream dietary standards.Significiantly less land is needed for those on a vegetarian diet

and there are 1001+ more good reasons to be veg let alone your own health you need to RESEARCH which is alwayes key and not jump into the water blind go to the library get books you can read and go online to some sites
