Can i hire a car i lanzarote with an old paper licence?

my driving licence is the old paper type which also has my old address on, i wish to hire a car for few days, can i use old liesence also what identification do i need

if passport and drivers licence have same address on you should get away with it.//////

I'd think you'd need a passport and a photo licence... But I don't know for certain.
