Can i hook up a pc to a tv with the red white n yellow thing ???

You can ... but only if your PC has a specific graphics card that will provide output to your TV.  I know some of the older ATI cards had TV outputs that allowed you to connect via RCA cables (if that is the red white n yellow thing of which you speak)

no you will have to use the rgb port. the same thing your pc monitor uses
