Can i hook up the same floorstanding speakers to an avr for movies as well as a stereo amp for music?

I have a Denon AVR and a set of 5.1 speakers hooked up to it for movies. I also have a dedicated stereo amp which I want to use when I'm listening to music. i want to use the same pair of floorstanding speakers that I have. Is there a way I can connect my speakers to both my amp & avr in a way that when I need to listen to music I just switch on my amp...for movies I just switch on my avr?

  1. yes, just get yourself one or more y connectors at the local Radio Shack.
