Can i improve my endurance and speed in just a few weeks??

i want to do cross country but i have truoble doing a single mile...in fact in school during the mile test i got 9 minutes....and thats b/c i knew i'd fail da class if i didnt carry on otherwise i tried doing it 2day but gaveup....so i'm thuinking if i run a mile everyday 4 a few weeks would i be ready 2 run 5 miles for xc??? i mean if i add a mile every week or sumthin??

  1. If you start out doing a mile run two to three times a week your endurance would improve in as little as a week, but that alone is not gonna get you ready to run 5 miles. After your initial two weeks of the single mile runs, incorporate at least one long run during the week while still running your single miles. Also drink more water daily

In about a month to a month and a half with a lot of dedication you could be able to run 5 miles.
