  1. put them in a draw full of socks in a box and put warm things in with it lol

  2. you can ask a farmer to put the eggs under an other chicken of his,who is siting on her own eggs, she will not know there are 2-3 eggs more

    is just my opinion

  3. If the temp is not kept at 103 degrees then the egg will have problems hatching. If the temp is to high they will hatch to early and not absorb the yolk sack properly. Their internal organs will not be

completely developed. If the temps are to cool they will hatch out late. There are reasons for a incubator. You can make one but not at the flick of the wrist. I also have to add that I have never had a hen eat a chick that had just hatched. NEVER. Now if  you have eggs that are hatching four to six days before the hen knows her eggs are supposed to hatch....................... Well they are not dummies. I believe that most people meddle to much with their hens when they are hatching. If you leave them alone all will be well. If you meddle with them then you are going to have tragedies. By pulling the eggs from the hen you have doomed them to death. Once a hen starts setting you are making a grave mistake to move eggs under her that are due to hatch at a different time. The best bet is to set the eggs at one time.

  4. You need brooder lamps and heat bulbs. The temperature should be kept at around 100 degrees fahrenheit until they hatch. They should be kept in a humid area of your house...so not by the de-humidifier...when these chicks hatch the temp needs to be 90 degrees for the first week and five degrees less every following week.

  5. i think that should be fine, just make sure it is in a cupboard too - perhaps in the same as your boiler if you have storage in there such as towels and whatever
