  2. No you cannot.  Additionally, the GPA requirement has very recently been raised, and is now 2.75.  This will apply to ALL collegiate chapters.

    It would not be best for you to try to join if your GPA is on the borderline of qualifying.  Delta is a commitment of time and effort to public service, which may take some time away from your studies.  With an already low GPA, this would potentially put you in a position where your academics suffer

    Keep in mind, Delta is an organization which has historically been comprised of woman exhibiting high academic standards and scholarship.  I would suggest that you take some time to really focus on your academics.  With some work, after perhaps another year or so you may be able to pull up your gpa enough to apply.  Either way, it will help you professionally down the road.  Potential employers often use GPA as a qualifying requirement for certain jobs when they hire from the college level.  Best Wishes to you!
