I would much rather join the U.S Marines then any other military sector!

I was thinking of joining the Irish Army then become an Irish Ranger but it dosnt seem as interesting or exciting!

So is there any chance i could join???

I know id have to move to america but that does not bother me, actually it would be really exciting and different!

  1. Why in Gods name would you want to join the US Marine corps??

you would only end up shooting up your own folk(friendly fire) they have to teach them that as it happens so bloody often

  2. You'll need a green card/to become a US citizen to join the US Marines.

  3. Thanks so much for wishing to serve :)

2 things-Get a green card and live in the USA for around a year. However, as soon as you move to the USA you can go speak to a marine recruiter straight away:) The Americans love the Irish! [My Dad is USAF and irish]

    website: http://www.marines.com/page/usmc.jsp?fla...

    Good luck!

  4. Yeah, but the royal marines kick *** more ;)

  5. Your probably able to...I went thorugh basic training with a guy from kenya who wasn't completely naturalized yet. You may have to move to the states and start the naturalization process though. Find a website for U.S. Marine recruiting or the Military Entrance and Processing agency.

  6. you can join the UK armed forces, join the royal marines. US marines are for pansys

  7. yes you can.you just have to have proof that you live in the U.S. legally.

  8. Enlistment into the U.S. Navy, or any branch of the U.S. military, by citizens of countries other than the United States is limited to those foreign nationals who are legally residing in the United States and possess an Immigration and Naturalization Service Alien Registration Card (INS Form I-151/551 — commonly known as a "Green Card"). Applicants must be between 17 and 35; meet the mental, moral, and physical standards for enlistment; and must speak, read and write English fluently.

Note: The U.S. military branches cannot assist foreign nationals in obtaining admittance into the United States. Questions concerning immigration to the United States should be asked of the U.S. Embassy. Only after immigration procedures are completed and an applicant is legally residing in the United States may an application for enlistment be accepted.

Furthermore, in order to be commissioned an officer in the U.S. Navy, one must be a native-born or naturalized United States citizen.

The U.S. government agency which is responsible for immigration and naturalization is the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service. Their web site is at http://uscis.gov/graphics/index.htm
