  1. As long as it puts out 200 or more amps.


  2. Yes, but if the jump starter isn`t charged it won`t help.  

  3. fix the car then it will not need a jump the wall socket  plug steps down the voltage to charge the jump box 12volts

  4. Maybe. Those things only assist the battery. You can't pull enough out of a wall socket to crank a V-8 without help from the battery. Let it charge for a while before you start it.

If the jumpstarter was designed to work this way, OK- but If you are planning to plug a wire in the wall and then hook it straght to the battery, there's gonna be fireworks and you might get killed with acid being sprayed all in your face and hands.  I know that isn't what you're talking about since you're smart enough to e-mail and chew gum all at once.

    Those little portable rechargeable boosters should be used without being plugged in the wall. The bigger, heavy duty A.C. booster/chargers don't work unless they're plugged in.
