You can move to whatever country you want, all you have to do is "play the immigration game" and know the rules, of course. I'm mexican and have lived in more than 7 countries in the last 15 years, LEGALLY...... among those contries are the ones with the toughest immigration laws, such as Canada, USA and now United kingdom.

THERE IS A WAY,,,,,,,,,   YOU CAN WORK HERE AND LIVE IN MEXICO.   THERES HOUSES IN MEXICO FOR RENT AT A GOOD PRICE. YOU CAN GET ONE THAT IS ALL INCL.  BUT LIVE THERE ONLY CAUSE  THE PAYING IS LESS THAN. $10.00 A DAY IN SOME AREAS AND YOU WORK 12 HOURS FOR IT. SO IT UTERLLY SUCKS!!!



      BUT THE WAY THINGS ARE IN MEXICO LATELLY,,,,,  I SUGGEST YOU STAY HERE CAUSE  GUNS GO OFF ALOT AND  INNOCENT PEEPS DIE  BY THE DOZENS.

No, just as citizens of other countries cannot just"move" to the U.S.  You may visit there for up to 180 days with a tourist card obtained on the plane or at the border.  It must be renewed every 6 months and you must stay out of Mexico at least a day...and some people do this and stay in Mexico for years.  To reside in Mexico, legally, you should really apply for an FM3 visa at the nearest Mexican consulate in the U.S.  This visa must be renewed once a year at the nearest immigration office in Mexico.  This allows you to be a temporary resident and move household goods.    After 5 years, you may apply for an FM3 and become an immigrant...like having a green card in the U.S. After 2 more years , you may apply for citizenship...which takes at least 2 to3 years. You must have proof of at least $1200.00 a month steady income from the U.S to qualify for an FM3 visa...in other words...you have to have enough money to support yourself.  You cannot work in Mexico without a special FM3 with a work permit.  These are extremely difficult to get and are usually granted only to highly educated people with skills that are in high demand in Mexico.  You must find an employer to hire you and write a letter to immigration stating he is hiring you for a job he cannot fill with a Mexican citizen. he must sponsor your work visa and then your work permit is tied to that specific job.  There is no such thing as a general work permit to just go look for a low- skilled job.   Unemployment is high in Mexico and there are thousands of well-eduacted Mexicans working in low skill jobs.  Even professionals make about 1/10 the salary for the same job in the U.S.  Low skilled jobs pay less than $2.00 an hour and often less than $10.00 a day.  If you are retired with a pension, moving to Mexico is fairly easy.   If you need to work...it is nearly impossible.  All these visa restricions are very similar to those of ALL other countries.
