  1. yes

  2. all you'll need is a drivers licence

also if your white or black you may not even need that

half the times they just wave you through

  3. That program to use your passport receipt to FLY to and from mexico ENDED in Sept.  Now, if you FLy, you must have a passport.  if you drive you do not need a passport until after SUMMER 2008.

  4. A passport receipt means nothing and is not a valid travel document.

f you are traveling to Mexico by land or by sea you do not require a passport but you must have U.S. citizenship documents such as a certified copy (not a photocopy or facsimile) of a U.S. birth certificate, this must be accompanied by a government issued photo-ID such as a drivers license or military ID etc to gain re-entry back into the States.

However from next year all persons traveling to Mexico, Canada, Bermuda and the Caribbean region will require a passport regardless of how they enter the country.

  5. Although that did work a while ago, they changed the rule in September 2007 stating that as of October, just having the receipt was not enough.

If you're traveling by plane, you need to have a passport, definitely!

If you're driving across the border or arriving by sea, they won't require your passport until some time next summer.  Until then, you can re-enter the U.S. with your state ID or Driver's License and birth certificate.
