  1. THE DUCK WILL REQUIRE WATER OTHER THAN TO DRINK!!!!

  2. Joey and Chandler did!!!!

  3. I keep both, I have 15 chickens and 3 ducks and they all live together very happily. As long as you ensure there is extra water for the ducks like washing up bowls or a pond and that there is somewhere low for them to lay. Good luck x

  4. it will be okay as long s the duck as water

  5. They'll be fine babe only watch the conversation doesn't drive them quackers.

  6. Yeah u can. I keep my ducks with my chickens. The only problem is u have to keep the chickens water up high so the ducks wont keep it dirty. If u have ducks, I highly reccomend a pair of baby geese. They are really tame if u raise them for babies. If u get  baby geese, make sure every day u put ur hand in the cage and let them get use to u petting them.  And if ur ducks have never seen chickens b4, they will pick on them.

  7. I had hens, roosters and muscovy ducks together...no problems at all.   They had a quarter of an acre to exercise, feed and/or scratch around in... and at night, they would all sleep in the little shed I decked out for them, chooks up on the ledge (in some old dresser drawers) and ducks down on the ground (sawdust/hay)...no problems at all.

  8. yes you can iv'e got 18 chickens and 2 ducks together down the lottments. if the chickens are there first they will start to peck the ducks that just came in but thats totally fine its called pecking order but if the ducks were there first then its the other way round. But after a while the pecking will stop, and also duck love water as nearly everyone knows and will get to any water they can find like the chickens drinking water they filter ther beaks in the water which makes the water go muddy.

  9. aw good for you chickens are a joy

    I have 34=)

now if you want a duck with your chickens..first of all you CANNOT just get one duck on it's own it will pine away and live a miserable life!

trust me so firstly if you are going to get ducks get at LEAST two

    ( ideally a pair. )

Ideally ducks should be kept.in their OWN house . .  but if the chicken house is big enough . .  they CAN bekept together but bare in mind the ducks will probably "sit" and "p**p" in the chickens food and water. so it is best to feed and water the chickens and ducks outdoors!or keep the chicken water/foood "Hung up" on a hagning feeder =)

so yes you can keep them together . . . But must have at LEAST 2  ducks =)
