  1. yes, as long as the goldfish is small this type of tank should be fine. just put some stuff for the fish to hide in and as they are very versatile it will be fine

  2. No, absolutely not.  Goldfish require VERY large tanks with lots of filtration.  Fancy goldfish will grow to about 8-10 inches, and commons will grow to be over a foot.

A bowl like that is really not a good place to keep any fish.

If you want a goldfish, my advice would be to get a 30 gallon tank with a filter rated for at least 60 gallons and keep ONE fancy goldfish in it.  They're not the easiest fish to keep, despite the popular misconceptions about them.

[edit] Nope, that tank is still much too small.  Ignore the goldfish they've got pictured in it--it's misleading and for display only.

  3. NO

even a Betta would not be very happy in that tank

bowls are for punch, flowers and decoration

    not for living animals

  4. One goldfish requires 20 gallons with 10 more gallons for each additional fish.  I really wish that companies would quit taking pictures for their products using goldfish in totally inappropriate tanks.

  5. I would think so. Aren't those types of tanks called Goldfish Bowls?

  6. no, goldfish can get up to about a foot long! and also, they require a filter or it will die.

  7. Nope, sorry. Goldfish produce lots of waste. While they don't need a heater, they do need filtration. If your going to get another fish for that bowl, I suggest another betta, then again, a betta needs a heater, but do fine with no filtration (as long as you do a water change at least once a week)
