  1. probally i dont c why it wudnt just make sure u put alot of toys and stuff in it but leave a little open space so it can run(my huinea luvs 2 run around inn circles in his cage lol)im sure ur guinea pig will luv it!

  2. I hope youve cleaned the aquarium very well with a non-toxic detergent and rinsed very well with hot water before putting the g.p.s in.this is the most important.

Also the aquarium must be of adequate size so that they can run around have all the necessary things they need .

All right.Assuming you have a clean and large enuf aquarium, the most important thing next is to place it in an area where it will have adequate ventilation.Aquariums can heat up and become lethal if placed in the sun.You may have to provide a secure  screened top for it if dogs or cats (or rats)are around. And never put a g.p. outside on a terrace. It's a tasty prey animal and will surely be predated upon.

Of utmost importance is providing it with good nutrition which include lots of timothy hay(no alfalfa),and fruit and veggies along with quality fresh pellets.

  3. Absolutely not.  There isn't enough air for them.  They will wind up getting lice or mites.  Don't do it.

  4. No!

Guinea pigs cannot be kept in glass tanks. The ventilation is not adequate. Guinea pigs eat and drink a lot and produce a lot of waste, so their cages absolutely need a good supply of fresh air. Glass sides and guinea pigs don't match up.

Also, guinea pigs need a lot of space. Two guinea pigs need at least 10 square feet of living space, and I've never seen a terrarium that large.

  5. Another thing to make sure of is that they cannot get the lid off.  When I had 2 g.p. (a long time ago ;-)  I kept them in separate terrariums but near each other...the female would ALWAYS escape and somehow find her way into the male's cage....she was determined to be a momma!  ;-)  I kept a screen type lid on them, and no matter how I tired to lock them on, she found a way out.

  6. You can't be serious? NO. You cannot put guinea pigs in aquariums. The ventilation is poor and they need a much larger enclosure.

Guinea pigs should have same s*x friends since they are highly social and they should have spacious cages.

    Try building a C&C cage: http://www.guineapigcages.com/

And adopt one of the many homeless guinea pigs to keep your other pig company (make sure they are the same s*x): http://www.petfinder.com/
