  1. gerbil;s chew alot of things and can chew though plastic but if its abig tub then it ok as long as they cant grip there teeth on it they cant chew it

  2. Nonono.

    Not at all.

    They will chew out.

    End of.

They need a glass tank, if you insist on putting them in an aquarium.

  3. My two gerbils have been in a gerbilarium, which is a PLASTIC aquarium topped by a cage, for 3 years.  They are very unlikely to chew out, they need to have an edge to get their teeth into before they can chew through something.  Gerbils are far better in an aquarium than a cage as they tend to like having lots of woodchips to make tunnels through.

  4. yep, if you want them to escape in about 10 mins flat

the best thing for gerbils are

    gerbilarium set ups

[not advocating the company in anyway, link just used as picture resource]

basically a glass tank that you can fill with peat free soil[not sawdust/shavings] and tunnels, to allow them to have some natural behaviour

with a cage topper to allow adequate ventialtion

  5. no no nono !!

now way the'll chew out or die because they need another gerbil and 2 cant live in there! they need to run they need toys in there cage no way!
