  1. We have a lot of universities specializing in many different topics. There are special agricultural universities, as are there special medical ones, probably the same as everywhere else.

I think you might want to tell us what you are interested in, where you would like to live and what your general plan is.

Going to uni in the Netherlands is very expensive, if you include finding a place to live in the university's city, which is nearly impossible.

  2. As mentioned you need to do a bit of research before upping and moving to a new country

If you are serious about studying in NL you will of course need to consider many aspects

    - environment - have you even visited NL before for more than just a holiday. Living in another country is very different than being on holiday.

    - finance - can you finance your course and also living costs. Education is expensive and grants are much in demand.NL is not a cheap country to live in.   Courses are generally the same cost and will be more for international students than domestic ones (I was a student advisor for a international course previously so know quite a bit for this case)

    - visa - you will of course need a visa to study( I don't think you can work on a study visa but could be wrong). This is a temporary visa for the duration of the course and at the end of the course you must return home. It does not entitle you to any rights to remain and work, and nor to change of nationality. You would need to return to India and apply for a new visa - a working visa is not easy to obtain. You can read more details on the official immigration site http://www.ind.nl/EN/verblijfwijzer/verb...

A course of education should be for the purpose of improving your mind and prospects (e.g. of a job in a certain area).Different universities offer different courses depending on your area of expertise. YA good starting point is the Nuffic site. Here is the link to the courses available http://www.nuffic.nl/international-stude...

There is also a good general section for international students with points to take into account http://www.nuffic.nl/international-stude...

  3. Universities in the Netherlands are pretty expensive.

You could find a company willing to sponsor you, but that is also difficult, and usually comes with strings attached.

Besides the educational cost - you need to consider:

    - Cost of living (fairly high)

    - Cost of accomodation (in university cities, expensive)

So be sure you know what you will be getting yourself into.
