Can i launch a model rocket with a car battery?

How can i launch a model rocket like this. Is it possible to get cables and hook it up engine and battery then turn the car on? Or can i use a car battery and hook it up with something like a light switch? If so, how can i do that?

you could use the car battery to ignite the rocket engine by wiring the batter too the engine w/ a switch in the middle. It'd prbly be a lot easier to buy the model rocket ignition kit but it's up to you.

Absolutley... a car battery is a fine power source for rocket launching... FAR heavier that a simply 9v battery, but it works.

You sould like you want to launch FROM the car !! I won't say anything about that other than it's illegal in the US, and can be done simply with a look at the auto's schematic.

Had a rocket launcher (Estes) under my car grill in the 80's... now I'd be a terrorist.
