  1. Hi,

As a electrical engineer you should have taken a programming class (pascal or fortran)

I am a mechanical engineer and I found out it is very easy to learn but if you want to get deep in subjectdefinitelyy you needexperiencee and you have to expend time to learn.

Again you are an engineer and programming is a lot easier than solvingIntegralss based on myexperiencee

  2. SAP is just another application like Excel or Word but in a grander scale.  It supports all kinds of business functions like Payroll, Manufacturing, etc.  Like Excel or Word, you don't need prior programming knowledge to use it.  But, it is not the most intuitive product, so you probably would want to go through some tutorial or something to learn how to use it properly.

Now, if you want to work with ABAP (the programming language powering SAP), then yes, you need programming 101 to grasp all the programming concepts before you tackle the ABAP programming language.  It's not a GUI-based programming language (like a lot of these web design products), so you will need to learn when and how to write an IF statement and that kind of stuff.
