It is illegal for an unregistered vehicle to be on the street. Yes, it will get towed and you will have to pay the towing and impound fees.

Yeah you can pretty much believe your car is going bye bye. They are not going to allow that car to sit there. First they will put a sticker on it saying they will tow in such amount of time. Then they are going to tow that sucker!

if it's on the side of the road you can be sure it'l be towed!

however if you park it on the roof they wouldn't be able to tow it and it'd get great publicity! :-)
