Can i leave my cows outside in harvest moon ds cute?

I want to know if i can leave my cows outside all the time in harvest moon ds cute, with the grass growing outside. Or do i need to feed them?

also, can i leave me chickens outside all the time?

what about sheeps and ducks?

If the grass is mature (fully grown), then yes you can leave your cows and sheep outside. You need to leave them out for at least 5 hours for them to be fed (if you look at your farm assets menu, and click on the cow/sheep icons, there should be a feed icon next alongside each animal).

Of course if it's raining or snowing, you should bring them back in or else they'll become unhappy or even sick. Then you'll need to throw fodder onto the feed trays for them.

And for ducks/chickens, you don't have to feed them if they're outdoors. They'll find their own food in the dirt/ground. Again, bring them indoors when it's raining/snowing, and throw the bird feed onto the trays.

One more thing: Make sure there's a fence around your animals or else the wild dog that sometimes comes at night will make them unhappy.
