  1. You must get someone to feed and water him/her. S/he may be ok as far as cleaning the cage out is concerned, but if you can't find anyone, then you have have HAVE to put at LEAST 3 full water bottles in and a lot of food. Try 3 seperate food bowls. You really shouldn't leave him/her alone; you should find someone to come around every day to top up the food and change the water and fill it, and clean him/her out if they are experienced. If you can't, make sure you have MORE than enough supplies for a week in the cage for him/her.

  2. Would probably be okay as long as you got a feeder and water bottle set up for them.

You could have a friend take care of them temporarily, which would probably be a better choice.

  3. Yes you should be able to, but before you leave you should

      Clean his/her cage

Make sure he/she has food and water

And check her exits (make sure she can't get out)

  4. No you can't! it needs to be fed given water. the bedding needs to be cleaned out. you really shouldn't neglect and abandon it. Instead try to get a friend to look after it or a animal shelter.

  5. It is not good to leave your pet like that....if the food or the water is not sufficient..it will be very bad..and he needs someone to take care...u can't leave an animal all alone...

  6. No.  What if his food and water runs out before you get back?  His cage will need to be cleaned by then.

Find somebody to take care of your hamster for you.

  7. Yeah sure. But don't forget to give your hamster xtra food and water.

  8. It's not ideal but your hamster should be okay as long as you leave plenty of food and water plus make sure you clean the cage out just before you go.

Is there not somebody that could pop in and check on the hamster for the week or even somebody who will completely look after the hamster?

  9. Usually for just a week your hamster will be fine, but it would be better to have someone stop in at least once to check on him and change the water.  Plus, if something happens with the water bottle and it leaks, your hamster could go days without water and may or may not be okay.

  10. Maybe if you give her lots of food and water

  11. Give him/her lots of food and put up two bottles on the cage instead of one, that should be plenty unless its hot weather.

  12. I believe you can find a one week feeder which is pretty much a block of food, but I don't know if his/her water supply could run out.  I would drop a key with a close friend or family member to check on it every day or every other day to be safe.

  13. if you live in the uk no. it's illegal to leave a pet home alone without anyone popping in to see if its ok and feeding it for more than either 2 or 3 days can't remember exactly. a hamster may be ok if there is plenty food and water but it's not an ideal situation. have you got a neighbour that can pop in and feed it half way through the week and check if its ok? better still can it go and stay with someone?

when having pets you should have places for them to go if you ever have to go away, even a hammy. if you don't have places like that you either shouldn't have a pet or shouldn't go away x

  14. not for week no but u can for usally about 3 days or if u make sure ther is plenty of food and water a couple of bowls of water not 1 or u can go to like a week feader place thing were they look after ur pet for a week or get someone to come in to ur house and feed it and check the water if u have a trustwervy friend it up to hope this helps
