  1. Thank goodness that you asked this question before you produced the movie!  You have to get royalties for using songs, names, brands, or other such things in anything where you'll be earning money - like a movie or a play.


  2. you need to license these songs by that I mean get permission from the owner of the catalogue who I actually believe is Michael Jackson. You can't simply use a song in another format without this. If you choose to do this you can get into a whole lot of legal trouble.
