  1. you'd make it about 48 hours max before some indian made you his "earth child"

  2. Others can live in the forest, but some can't because there has no food and also some are bored and it is very quiet.

  3. It is possible to live in any environmenton this planet IF you have the knowledge and skills to do so. Being able to survive and live in a forest is not the same as living in a desert for instance, totally different environments, totally different set of survival skills.

If you are under the impression that you can just waltz into a rain forest and prance around in a waterfall then you are very mislead. At the end of the day what you gonna do for food, wtaer, food and health needs as well as dealing with any dangerous animals, Ain't no harris teeters behind every tree..

I am fortunate to be living on the cherokee reservation in north carolina here in the mountains. To be self sufficient to any degree here you have to know the local edible vegitation, how to fish the rivers, how to hunt the game, each one has unique hunting techniques, be they bear, deer, boar or elk.

You need to really educate on wilderness survival before you even think of living in the woods. They are not gentle or understanding of the niave.

  4. You would die...unless you REALLY know what you're doing.  Bugs, infections, foot-rot, and even hypothermia will happen in the rain forest.  Rain forest soil has no nutrients--so, good luck with farming.  Those tall trees and lush plants you see only grow that big because they feed off the decomposing stuff that you find there (animals, plant matter etc.).  That's why clear-cutting basically rends that area useless to future growth.  The soil itself is dirt.  If you want to live there, make sure that when you die, die next to your favorite tree because you'll be its food for a bit!!

  5. Yes you can. It might not be as glamorous as you may think though. It is hard to explain...

Ok, where you would find a rainforest (South America, Africa, Any where else that has rainforests...) you'll find malaria and other diseases carried by many different bugs (mosquitos are the big one). Besides that there are many other elements that could - for lack of a better term - "bother" you. Watch some videos on the subject. I suggest man vs wild. There are so many things... It would be better if you saw it.

  6. I think it would be so neat and the way you talk about it makes me want to try but the bugs would get me, but if want to then go for it just make sure someone knows where you are. Did you see the movie ' Into the Wild ' remember the end....

  7. You can live wherever you want if you have the $$ to buy the land!

  8. The "Authority" of the area would probily arrest you but physically it is possible.  Just learn about the plants and animals of the area.  Only drink running clean water.  Have fun.  It's better than being a tax paying breeding herd of population for the fat pigs in government.

  9. Hey Pa. is a great place to be the people are really nice.Lots of woods to live in.Tennessee is another place and the weather is not so cold.Just remember..when you live away from the city you need a dependable truck.Trucks are for hauling cause you need a good supply of what you need on hand.

  10. in south america there are many tribes that live in the rainforest. Some have never seen civilization. You can for sure, but there are many dangers.  Obviously animals, but think about if you got hurt, needed surgery, even lonely.  If you really wanted to try this, I would find an organization that works with small communities in 3rd world countries. That will give you a taste, then if you really felt confident you wanted to lose it al, go for it.  Les stroud of survivorman lived in the woods for a year as his honeymoon! Also watch the movie into the wild, a true story.

  11. no there is to much dangerous animals around a rain forest um... you should watch grizzly man o.k. he was the same way only he felt that way about bears
