  1. I think we might have a terminology problem here.  In a Word context, a "page" isn't like a Web page.  It's like a page in a book.  The parallel to a Web page is called a "document."

So if you mean just one piece of a document, there's no way to do this in Word, however, if you mean the entire document, it's quite easy.  Here's how with versions of Word prior to Word 2007 (Vista):

    1. Click on the Tools->Options menu item.

    2. Click the Security tab.

    3. Enter a password in the Password To Open text box.

    4. Click the OK button.

    Hope that helps.

  2. you can lock a word file when you save it... in ms word 2000, in the "save as" window, select the "tools" dropdown and "general options" from that dropdown... enter your desired password in the "password to open" box... then click "ok" button... it will prompt you for the password again to verify it...

    i hope that this helps!

  3. Hi, first of all let me introduced myself; I'm Edgar and I've worked with Microsoft as a program generator. Unfortunately this is not possible now maybe in the future. But you can absolutely encrypted that one file such as microsoft word by using an encrypting program. Please feel free to contact me if you need further assistance.
