  1. I ques, but if you are losing weight, eat low in carb meals.

  2. Yes you can lose weight by riding a bike.  Anything that is you doing something active like running, swimmnig, and even jumping rope.  Make sure to eat healthy to that would always help also :).

  3. yes also if you can try jogging. make sure you get some good shoes to jog in. new balance shoes are great! but you have to watch what you eat, lots of fruits and vegetables, and protein..like skinless chicken breast are good. you can do it. Just work at it and watch the weight drop off...

  4. Yes you can. A friend of mine (male) lost about 30 pounds by changing his diet for the better and riding his bike almost every day. Good luck!

  5. 290 pounds is a lot on a bike.  Start by walking and swimming.  When you slim down then you can maintain your weight by riding the bike.

  6. Umm, jogging, running, riding your bike, watching wat you eat, anything really helps, exersie will help for sure, but just watch the calories you eat, like sugar. Don't eat candy, ice cream, all that stuff. Good luck with loosing weight!

  7. Doesn't matter gow far you go just so long as its not half a mile and thats it....haha...anyways, do it everyday and you should be ok.  Eat good, too.  I don't eat very healthy so I rely on nutrition bars more often than healthy meals.  Nutrtion bars are very healthy for you if you choose the right brand.  Good luck and don't stop, never stop or losing weight won't happen.

  8. yes

  9. yes! do it everyday to work or whatever and eat healthy

  10. yes any exercise will do if you are consistent with it .But dont go overboard either moderation is key.

  11. sure you can!! Anything that uses your body to do work will help you burn off calories and fat and ALSO lose weight!!

Try having a scheduled daily ride of about an hour.

  12. you will definately lose body fat, as you gain muscle...

remember when someone tells you that muscle weighs more than fat... well not true

    think of it like this

a pound of fat weighs the same as a pound of muscle

    think of fat as marshmellows

    think of muscle as rocks

it will take MORE marshmellows to make a pound

then it would take rocks to make a pound

don't go off of what the scale says, but measure yourself first... and each week continue to measure your body and you will see if you are losing body fat / inches.

  13. Heck, yeah, it can help you lose weight!  That's why most regular cyclists you meet are so slender!

  14. It depends how far you go and how fast.

You need to be aiming for a fast heart rate (ie. heavy breathing) for 30 mins each workout for it to have a decent impact.

If you are just going along at walking pace for 10 mins, then there is going to be very little benefit at all.

  15. for sure

    you could even grow butt

  16. brilliant idea you have fun and also you exercise

  17. heck yea,esp when you go on hills and stuff

  18. yes you can lose weight but it will make your butt and legs sore :( but its worth it :) (//_-) <-------- emo guy

  20. Oh course you can loose weight by cycling. I have been doing it now for near 2 weeks, every day and I have lost over a stone in weight already.

    Keep cycling!!

  21. no, it'll never work. run, run as fast as you can.

  22. cycling is better than doing nothing at all.......

it increases ur metabolism so u lose weight even wen resting!!!

it also tones your leg muscles

  23. yup any exercise will help lose weight

  24. yes you can.,, lay out a course say three miles flat, ride it every day then increase it a little  and a little yes fat to muscle etc.

  25. Go on a low calorie / low carbohydrate diet and exercise!

  26. yes but if you want to lose it faster run

  27. depends how far you go really.

  28. Bike riding is an efficient way to burn calories fast

Riding has plenty of plus points aswell as using weight

It builds muscle, particularly in your quads, glutes, hamstrings and calves.

You can control the level of your workout by riding slow or fast on city streets, roads or scenic trails.

It’s a convenient, inexpensive way to get around town. Parking is always simple, and you can get some exercise while you’re running errands.

Try to ride 4-6 days per week. When you map out your weight loss plan, your short-term goals will change as you change. You’ll quickly develop stamina for longer distance. As fat turns to muscle, your speed will increase. Each week, try to increase either your mileage or your speed.

    Good luck !

It’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors and do some sightseeing.

    It helps the environment.
