Can i make a living fundraising?

Question

I live in the u.k and am sick of working for ''The Man'' all the time, slogging it out, i have decided to try the self employment option. I feel that i have all the skills needed to become a fundraiser but i was just wondering if its legal and everything, do i just raise funds for charities then take a cut for myself like 10% ?? How does all this work ? please help me,

It is worth a try but you might want to take a job as a fundraiser first to see how it goes (i.e. how much you make and whether you really enjoy the work) before you try doing this on your own as a contractor. It is tough work like any sales job...
