Can i make a waterproof powder at home for cement mix

i have heard that.commenly available materials can be used for waterproofing such as castic soda,sugar ,lime, naptha balls.can some body tell me the method of making waterproofing cement admixtrure using such things.also tell me names of such more waterproofing admixture if u know some that can improve the mix.thanks in advance.

u can use common soap for waterproofing.
