Can i make choco chip cookies with bread flour?

it says to use all purpose flour, but can i use bread flour? or will the taste/texture/size change?

I would not recmend that, why not take the easy more efficient route and buy the premaid kind, the baking kind.

Bread flour has a longer gluten strand than all-purpose flour and will make a dense, chewy cookie. Yes, you definitely can. Here's a recipe from Good Eats-

you can use bread flour. ONly thing that may happen is that the cookies will be lighter and more delicious. I however think it is a waste as the bread flour usually is more expensive. But I have used bread flour when out of all purpose flour.

i think its okay. it should not change the flavor at all.

It will work but you must be careful not to mix your dough too much or the cookies could be a little tough.

Absolutely!!! I always use bread flour in my choc chip cookies. The higher gluten in the bread flour makes for a chewier cookie which I love. I also use 1/2 C sugar and 1 C lt brown sugar verses using 3/4 C each. I cook at 375 for 9 min. Ohhhh so chewy good!!!
