Can i make my dirtbike street legal?

i live in michigan and with gas prices so high i was wondering if i could ride my dirtbike on the street its a 2 stroke I'm from cali and i know a bike has to be a 4 stroke to be street legal i wanna know if mi. the same

I'm still IN CA, and we still have some 2-stroke bikes around.--- What you will need, is, #1. Lights. #2. fenders that cover more tire. #3. different tires( you ever ride AT SPEED with knobbys on the road?) #4. an inspection to ensure all this is in place-so you can go get- #5.  A V.I.N. # from the motor vehicle dept, so you can go get- #6. a license plate.

   You should also go through your suspension, and tighten it up, and remove about 1/3 the travel, so it will respond better to asphalt( keeping both you AND others around you, safe!)
