I want to stop my rabbits from chewing my nice furniture. I have given them lots of alternative things to chew, but sometimes they just can't help themselves. If they eat treated wood they can get sick. I heard that there is something you can put on things to make them taste horrible to rabbits so that they don't chew it.... does this stuff exist?

  4. you can buy a pepper spray for a supermarket hardwear or petstore to use on the furniture it also wont harm it and works well on any plants aswell

  5. Pesticides will get them sick as well! Don't do that! You can use green cleaning products such as Simple Green etc.

  6. According to this website: "You can try using a bitter apple spray (available at pet stores) on items your rabbit likes to chew. Many rabbits don't mind the taste, though (and some even seem to like it), so while this may be worth a try, is often not effective. If it does work with your rabbit, the spray must be re-applied frequently." Gives some other alternatives though.... (Never knew bunnies did that!)

  7. Pet stores sell a spray called bitter apple that tastes bitter. You could try that.

  8. try bitter apple spray. works great for dogs and its recommended for all animals.
