Can i make this house for my hamster so he can sleep in there?

Paint is toxic to hamsters. Get an igloo specially made for rodents.

I suggest you buy a hamster book, like the Hamster Handbook by Patricia Bartlett.

You need a book because the information in there would tell you how NOT to KILL your hamster!

I would not paint it. As was said above paint is toxic to hampster and they are notorious for chewing everything. I just bought a nesting house at petsmart for chincillas. Its all wood and has to be assembled but its safe and my girls love it. They also sell plastic ones you put together. The easiest ones for them are the igloos.

Yes, paint it completely.  Make sure you use lead paint.
