Can i marry a woman from overseas twice?

Question

If i have already been married to a woman from overseas, and brought her here to live me, and since divorced, will this ruin my chances of love from overseas again? What i mean is, would i be able to marry my current girlfriend who lives overseas, and still be able to bring her here to live if we wanted? Or will my previous marriage rule us out? please help.

I am an Australian citizen.

You might have some more convincing to do that you are true and honest with both petitions.You have to prove that the first petition was a bonafide relationship and that it just didn't work out.

In the USA they give you two bites at the apple.  After that you need a special waiver to try to bring a third spouse into the country.  If you're finding yours in the Philippines, on the Internet, Australian immigration will give you a hard time.

It will definitely raise questions.  How are you meeting these people?  Internet romances?  Marriage fraud will be suspected immediately, especially if your former wife and you divorced rather soon after she got residency.  You are running some risks here -- of being hurt, of being used, and of raising suspicions of authorities.  Your "track record" carries a serious ding in authorities' eyes.
