Can i merge 2 yahoo groups , if I am the moderator of both groups?

there is no actual merge feature and even though the members are part of one group, you just cant add them to another you own without their permission, as well as their posts and things members added like files and photo's

The best way to merge two yahoo groups:

If you are wanting to move all from one group to another.

1) Ask the people to move to the group you want to keep.

2) set a closing date.

3) Remind people each day for the week before closing.

4) Close the yahoo group, which keeping the other one open.

As for the adding of people without their permission, I strongly suggest that you invite them to the other group through the invite feature. If you do want to just add them, go to invite, then at the bottom of the page you will see add members.

You can only invite or add fifty members per day.
