Question:

Can i move this Walnut tree without killing it?

Well i dont know how it got there, but it did, and i want to keep it, but it's in a bad spot.

  1. Sure---but you might be surprised at how large the tap root can be even for a small tree.  Just be sure to dig deeply enough to avoid breaking off the tap root.


  2. Go ahead and get your planting spot ready.

    Wait about a month before you move it though. Its a little early for the move as some more heat may be in store for the US before fall hits.

    Dig out about 12 inches from the stem and get a good root system and all should be fine.
